William Allen School Families. We hope everyone is having a great Spring Break Week. It is hard to believe that it will be May 1st when children return to school next week.! While on break, it is an excellent time to fill out our student placement form. As a school, we start looking at placement for next year, and your input is valued through that process. PLease copy this link and paste it into your browser to complete the survey. https://forms.gle/6wJWy8AGCKpz5pDr8 Directions: 1) Please complete one form for each child in your household entering grades 1-5 by 8 pm on May 26th. 2) This is an optional form for you to use to help identify strengths and additional supports that your child will benefit from when we place them with their next year's classroom teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. 3) These are student-based questions and should not reflect parent requests for a specific teacher or against any particular teacher. Any requests of that nature will result in the form not being considered.

WAS Families, We wanted to send an update that any student who rides bus 7 will have a delayed drop off time as the bus is scheduled to leave the school around 3:30. We will send out further updates if the delay continues.

William Allen School Reminder: Tomorrow, Wed. Jan 11th, is a 1/2 day for all students with a 12:15 dismissal. Please make sure that your child knows their dismissal plan and inform the classroom teacher if it is atypical.

Good Afternoon Families With our first round of anticipated winter weather coming our way it’s important that we are all prepared for the potential of remote and snow days. As inclement weather is anticipated, we will send home devices with students who have a signed technology agreement form. Families are encouraged to have their students confirm they have access to google classroom and ensure devices are used for school related tasks at home. All school closures or shifting to remote learning are shared through Thrillshare and can also be found on WMUR. For a remote day, we will have synchronous learning in the morning. This means that your student will be in a google classroom participating in live instruction with our staff from 8:30-12:15. Asynchronous learning will happen from 1 to 3. At this time you should expect your child to have independent work assignments they will be working on. All staff are available in their google classrooms to support students on independent work assignments during this time. Should you need any support, please reach out to your child’s teacher as the first point of contact. You can reach either myself or Ms. Mowatt on remote days through email, all emails and classroom links are located on our school website under the "staff" and "remote learning" tabs across the top.
